Privacy Policy

Information we collect

We collect three broad categories of information: what you give us when creating an account, what the application processes while you use it, and technical data generated automatically.

• •Account information — your email address and profile details, handled through our authentication provider. We do not store your password.
• •Session content — audio captured during a session, transcripts generated from it, and screenshots you explicitly capture for screen-aware assistance.
• •Documents you upload — resumes, job descriptions and other files you add to build custom agents.
• •Usage and billing data — credits consumed, session counts, subscription status and payment records.
• •Technical data — device type, operating system, application version, and error diagnostics.

How we use your information

• •To provide real-time assistance: transcribing speech, interpreting screen context, and generating responses during your session.
• •To maintain your account, apply your subscription entitlements and meter credit usage.
• •To persist session state so a session can recover from an interruption, and so you can review past sessions.
• •To diagnose crashes and improve reliability and product quality.
• •To send transactional email such as receipts and account notices.

Audio, screen content and recordings

Audio is streamed to our processing service while a session is active so it can be transcribed and answered in real time. Screenshots are captured only when you invoke a screen-aware action; the application does not continuously record your screen.

LiveQ is designed to remain hidden from screen-sharing and recording software. You are responsible for using it in line with your employer's policies, any applicable exam or assessment rules, and the recording and consent laws that apply where you and the other participants are located.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of third-party processors to run the service. Each receives only the data needed for its function:

• •Auth0 — authentication and identity.
• •Convex — application database and file storage.
• •LiveKit — real-time audio and data transport between the desktop app and our processing service.
• •Speechmatics — speech-to-text transcription.
• •Large language model providers — generating responses from your session context.
• •Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never receive or store them.
• •PostHog — product analytics and error tracking.
• •Brevo — transactional email delivery.
• •Amazon Web Services — hosting and desktop application distribution.

Data retention

Session transcripts and metadata are retained with your account so you can review them, until you delete them or close your account. Uploaded documents are retained until you remove them. Billing records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes. Diagnostic logs are retained on a rolling short-term basis.

Your rights and choices

You can access, correct, export or delete your data from your account dashboard, or by emailing [email protected]. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under the GDPR, the UK GDPR or the CCPA — including the right to access, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to it. We do not sell personal information.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Access to production systems is limited to personnel who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will notify affected users of a breach where the law requires it.

Children

LiveQ is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. Material changes will be announced in the application or by email, and the effective date above will be updated.
